So by the time I get my camera, Youtube might become less and less of a needed feature, frankly, I prefer the way that Vimeo works. It's almost like the Flickr of video. For what I intend to do (ideas coming shortly), I think that having a dedicated video site which specializes more in specific videos than watching videos of cats surfing or a 25 kill streak on COD, I think having somewhere that allows me to utilize what I need for my HD video projects when I get them sorted is well more useful. I'll be likely to post short videos to Youtube, but my certain actual projects like the ones I intend to create will almost defiantly be posted on Vimeo, sometimes, if your lucky, both ;)
I suggest if you take an interest in video and creative things you should check out Vimeo.
For those of you hat don't already know, Flickr is also one of the best sharing websites for photos, It does have a smaller video section as well though!
Check that out at Flickr
Hopefully post my ideas for projects when I get them finalised and let you know if I need a hand ;)
'Till then, Markk xx

The start of a new year...
As I'm sat here on what can only be described as a beautiful day, I wonder what some of the new year resolutions people have picked this year, and how many people will actually stick to these and follow them through. Bare in mind, if you made it under the influence of alcohol, that's your price to pay.
I don't like making resolutions because that way, I can't be dissapointed when I don't achieve it. I do however intend to start doing certain things, video blogging is a dead certanty (sp?) but that is when the means arrive. So for now...
Let me know some of your wacky, or sensible resolutions, tell your friends about my blog and I'll see you when I see you :)

Well...
I have just decided as I ride the train to college today that I'm going to start using this blog more and more until I can get my video blogs up and running when I get my bike. For now though, this is going to be like an extra Twitter for me.
Hopefully I can get more people Reading this blog as I start to review games and music. So if anyone wants me to review an album or game or something I can write about then let me know!
'till then folks,

My Announcement...
I figure I might as well tell you all in one place than having to repeat it over Myspace & Facebook etc.
So here it goes...
After a band meeting with the other guys, they decided that my place in the band was not exactly what they were looking for in a vocalist and have decided that I do not represent what they are about as a band....
Now let me make this CRYSTAL clear. There are NO hard feelings between me and the others. Yes I'm fairly.... what's the word I want to use... Disappointed, I guess, disappointed in the decision but as bad as this is for me, I hope the rest of the band will go on, and have some good success.
This leaves me where I am now...
I am open for offers, so if you know of any bands that want a vocalist please let them know about me and my history as a vocalist and tell them to get in touch...
I'm not final yet on my decision but I may take some time away from the music (even though Im pretty sure that will not last) and let my college work take focus...
Thank you to the people that saw me perform whilst I was in SlitCell and they will tell you that I really enjoyed my time, but perhaps it was just not meant to be.
I want to thank the lads in SlitCell for the time they gave me and the chance to be a part of their world....
Any other questions.... Don't hesitate to ask...
Until next time.
Much Love....
Markk

[Prototype]
Lets get started shall we?
[Prototype] is a large sandbox game based around New York city in the present day. A deadly virus has broken out and has started mutating & killing the population. An elite team of soldiers has been called in to 'contain' this virus, that is, until they meet Alex Mercer. Mercer is a highly mutated form of this virus and can transform into almost anything he touches. The plot is thick and takes many twists and turns with the player as Alex trying to uncover what happened to him, who did this to him, and how they can be stopped.
On first glance at this game, I have come across people complaining about the graphics and 'Draw Distance' not being up to par worth some of the standards as the likes of 'Halo 3' or 'Gears of War 2' or other modern classics. What people even mildly interested in this game need to bear in mind though, is that this game is a sandbox comprising of an ever changing city, sure not along the bigger budget games in the same vein as 'Grand Theft Auto 4' at least, but more in the same area as say the Spiderman series, which still, in many peoples opinion I'm sure are fantastic games. Some people will disagree and state that this is a bad thing, but what, and i guarantee this, you will come to realise when playing this game is that you do not look at the graphic hinderances, you enjoy tearing down a city that is trying to tear you down at the same time. You will spend more time marveling at the sheer joy you undoubtedly will receive from picking up a soldier, scaling the side of a skyscraper and then, throwing him off into the distance while enjoying the deep, twisting plot as it thickens around you. This kind of gameplay option, in my opinion, does not appear enough in the likes of todays games, there hasn't been the kind of gruesome accessibility for killing since Crackdown at least, with the options of going about a city with superhuman ability at the very press of a button.
Now as far as superhuman abilities go, the manifestations of Alex that the player will find him or herself becoming are truly stunning, from the claw hands that make you appear in the same strain of Wolverine or the Hammer-fists that you can pummel literally anything in your way into dust with, this game has very few, if not any moments where you find yourself asking what is the best way to go about dispatching of the enemy, whether it be throwing air conditioning units at an attacking helicopter or throwing a taxi their way, you will always have ways to go about your business, and you'll enjoy it at the same time.
To really understand what i mean when i say this game is enthralling, exciting but never too serious that you feel there is no way you can progress you would have to play it yourselves, and I implore you to do that, at least try the game regardless of what some critics might say. Sure this game does have some small downfalls with the graphics involved but that becomes extinct when your fully enjoying being almost invincible and running amok in New York City. I hope I've parted ways with some of my insight into this experience to people that are looking into buying this game but as far as i can tell, I think [Prototype] will turn out to be one of the summers hidden gems for the Xbox 360.
Until next time,
Markk x
